Wed Sep 8th - Wed Oct 27th TAI CHI - The Ultimate Exercise
Sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation of NYC, the 8 week "Tai Chi class for people with Arthritis or limited mobility" will be held every Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30AM at Flushing Town Hall, beginning September 8 through October 27, 2010. TAI CHI a time honored exercise that derives its history from the Chinese Martial Arts. Starts at 9:30 AM.

Fri Oct 15th Wycliffe Gordon Sextet - Early Roots of Jazz: Music of the 1920's & 30's
Award winning performer, conductor, composer and educator Wycliffe Gordon performs early jazz before it was called Big Band, Swing and Be-Bop, when the tuba functioned as the bass. Music of Jelly Roll Morton, King Joe Oliver, and Papa Jack Lane. Starts at 8:00 PM.
Sun Oct 17th Polygraph Lounge Musical Mayhem - Workshop
For Families: For ages 6 and up; Maximum 35 participants. Prepare yourself for the fun, interactive songs of Polygraph Lounge and explore how to turn found objects into instruments. Led by teaching artist Shanna Lesniak. (Must R.SV.P. online: www.flushingtownhall.org) Starts at 1:00 PM.
